What started as one woman's question became an enterprise for women seeking connection and community.

"In my early 20s, I flew to New Orleans for the Essence Music Festival, driven by ambition, curiosity, and the support of people who believed in my boldest dreams. The energy in that room changed me. Women from all over the world gathered to be inspired by voices that were not only successful but relatable. I remember asking myself, 'How can women like me from the Caribbean experience this level of community and empowerment without having to leave home?’

I left with one thought: 'If she can do it, so can I'. Twelve years later, Egi was born; an enterprise created to build that same sense of community, inspiration, and possibility right here at home, helping Caribbean women unlock their edge and make their mark on the world. 

In March 2020, we hosted our first International Women's Day experience with 200 women gathered together for one afternoon. My closest friends served as the entire event team, doing whatever was needed to make it a success. Towards the end of the event something phenomenal happened. Business owners were taking the stage, unprompted, to offer their products and services to the other women in the room. It was an organic, generous, powerful act of sisterhood. In that moment, Egi shifted from an idea into a movement."
